Big news

Back in May, Scott had his pre-K culmination. Part of the program was dancing. Scott refused to participate, choosing instead to stand next to a bench, while his class and teachers did the Hokey-Pokey and a few other such dances.

Fast forward to just a few weeks ago. At family home evening with Grandma Gail and Grandpa Dennis, Scott stood up on the window seat, cleared his throat, and announced , "I'm going to say something that you may find surprising. I am going to do the Chicken Dance."

Evidently, in his PE class, there is much dancing. Scott was thrilled to invite Mr. M and me to come to the family dance last weekend where each grade performed a dance routine, interspersed by spectator/performer dances, including the Chicken Dance, the Mexican Hat Dance, and the Hokey Pokey.

As proof for those who will never believe it, and especially for Teacher Renee and Teacher Kim, here is a brief clip of Scott doing the Hokey Pokey with Mr. M and Elizabeth (and clearly having a great time).

I see that you left out the part where Mrs. M does the chicken dance. No fair.

Scott has surpassed me. No surprise there.
