Tonight for family scripture study, Michael was reading 3 Nephi 13. After the bit about laying up treasures in heaven, I interrupted the reading to ask, "Ethan, how do you think we get treasures in heaven?"
His immediate answer was, "You walk to heaven and then you get the pirate map and then you find the treasure. In the sky and not in the ground."

ARRRR! St Peter, where's me booty?
Me hold's bursting with swag! In heaven, of course.
:)
Here we are, struggling to lay up treasures in heaven, and the answer was right in front of us this whole time!
our walk here on earth being the walk to heaven, the "pirate map" is acquired during that walk- the scriptures (thay are all about pirates, of course), the tools we need to find the treasure are found in the temple- once we make it to heaven, we have everything we need to acquire the "treasure in the sky".
Ethan is so smart!
Been lurking - Dave told me about your site. Not only do you make beautiful babies... geniuses too. So cute. I love what little ones say. (chinese and spanish houses back in the day)
It makes perfect theological sense to me that there should be a map. Did you think they would just hand it to you?
